IDV22000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Victoria Fire Weather Warning for the Mallee fire weather district. Issued at 5:00 am EDT on Monday 2 October 2023. The CFA advises that you: - Action your Bushfire Survival Plan now. - Monitor the fire and weather situation through ABC Local Radio, commercial and designated community radio stations, or Sky News TV, www.emergency.vic.gov.au and www.bom.gov.au. - Call 000 (Triple Zero) in an emergency. For the rest of Monday 2 October: Extreme Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire weather district: Mallee Weather Situation Hot and dry conditions combined with fresh and gusty northeast to northwesterly winds will result in locally extreme fire danger during Monday across the Mallee district. Dry thunderstorms are a risk across parts of the Mallee during Monday For information on preparing for bushfires go to www.cfa.vic.gov.au. No further warnings will be issued for this event, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings issued if necessary.
